Primary Purpose: To display the results of a curriculum based assignment.
Typical posts: Essays/Reports/Stories, Artwork, Reflections
Great for publishing student work for a wide audience.

Type C: Class Blog
A Combination of the Teacher and Project Blogs

Number of Authors: Multiple- The Teacher and Students
Primary Purpose: To get information out to the class, parents and community and to publish student work.
Typical posts: Homework, Upcoming Events, Student Work
Great for keeping the lines of communication open, and motivating students by giving them an audience for their work.

Type D: Online Educational Community
A “Super” Class Blog

Number of Authors: Multiple – The Teacher, Students, Parents, Community Members
Primary Purpose: To provide increased opportunities for communication and feedback.
Typical posts: Homework, Upcoming Events, Student Work, Reflections, Comments
Great for creating assessment for learning opportunities.
